Can I use a YouTube thumbnail?
Thumbnails belong to the video creator. Using one to link to, review or discuss the video is common, but do not reuse someone else's thumbnail as your own or in ads without permission. For your own channel, design thumbnails at 1280 × 720 pixels and under 2 MB, as YouTube recommends. Resize yours with the Image Resizer & Compressor.
