Frequently asked questions

Is this truly random?

It uses the browser's cryptographically secure generator, which is suitable for draws and games. It is not a certified lottery system.

How do I pick a winner from a list of names?

Number your list, then generate one number between 1 and the number of names.

Can I roll dice?

Yes. Set minimum 1 and maximum 6, with repeats allowed and "How many" set to the number of dice.

What is the largest range?

Any whole numbers up to about 9 quadrillion, but no-repeat draws are limited to 10,000 numbers at a time.

Can I generate decimals?

Not directly. Generate whole numbers and divide, for example 1 to 1000 then divide by 100.
